Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated naturopathic doctor (ND) to join our dynamic and collaborative team and assume a practice, as our current ND is moving out of country. As an ND at PT'MOVEMENT, you will be responsible for providing holistic, evidence-informed naturopathic care to a diverse patient population. Your role will involve working closely with other health-care practitioners to create comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that address not just the symptoms but the underlying causes of illness.
Whether it’s helping patients with chronic pain, digestive disorders, hormonal imbalances, stress management, or general wellness, our naturopathic doctors play an integral role in their healing journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assess and treat a wide variety of conditions, spanning all life stages.
- Collaborative Approach: Work in close collaboration with other health-care professionals at PT'MOVEMENT to ensure patients receive well-rounded, comprehensive care. Engage in case discussions, provide insights, and integrate treatment plans with other modalities (e.g., physiotherapy, chiropractic, osteopathy, massage therapy).
- Treatment Modalities: Utilize a broad range of naturopathic therapies, including herbal medicine, acupuncture, homeopathy, nutrition counseling, lifestyle coaching, and supplementation.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on preventative health care, healthy lifestyle choices, nutrition, and stress management to empower them in their healing process.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and follow-up care.
- Community Engagement: Participate in wellness workshops, seminars, and community outreach to raise awareness of naturopathic medicine and holistic health.
:Develop new programs and health initiatives using their clinical knowledge and collaborative skills.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Licensed Naturopathic Doctor in Ontario, in good standing with the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Ontario.
- Degree: Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) from an accredited institution.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of clinical experience in a patient-facing role is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply if they demonstrate a strong passion for integrative and collaborative care.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with patients and work effectively within an integrated team.
- Holistic and Patient-Centred: A deep commitment to whole-person care and a holistic approach to healing that addresses both physical and mental/emotional health.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate patients and collaborate with other health-care professionals.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and apply evidence-based practices to develop personalized treatment plans.
