President and Chief Executive Officer

Reporting to the Chair of the Board of Governors, the President and CEO provides leadership and direction for all phases of the College’s operation. This individual will provide strategic leadership for the educational, clinical and research arms of the College. The President is also responsible for developing and securing financial and capital resources, partnerships and educational programming. These include the development and maintenance of government and community relationships, and the establishment of an effective liaison and collaborative relationship with the naturopathic profession’s various associations, licensing bodies and accreditation agencies.
The President and CEO will have earned a graduate degree from a recognized accredited university or institution, ideally at the doctoral level in any one of the following: health sciences, naturopathic medicine or educational administration. They will have a minimum of ten years of senior-level executive management experience. The President will have extensive experience in post-secondary education and familiarity with the naturopathic profession and its context, challenges and history. In addition, the President will have experience with operational budgets and admissions and fundraising processes, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
The position is located in Toronto. Consideration of candidates will begin immediately, and the new President and Chief Executive Officer will take office in July 2022. The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) is Canada’s leading naturopathic medicine education provider, offering a four-year, full-time naturopathic medicine program. CCNM offers the only Doctor of Naturopathy degree in Canada. Upon the retirement of the incumbent, the CCNM is seeking its next President and Chief Executive Officer.
Founded in 1978, CCNM is a private, pan-Canadian, not-for-profit institution with its main campus located in Toronto and a second campus in Metro Vancouver, known as the Boucher Campus. CCNM has approximately 200 academic staff, 150 administrative staff, and over 700 students. The three major areas of study are biomedical sciences, clinical sciences, and naturopathic therapeutics. CCNM is also home to several teaching clinics across the Greater Toronto Area as well as on the Boucher campus in Metro Vancouver.
