Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, lifestyle evaluation, physical examinations, and lab result reviews.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating natural remedies, nutritional counseling, herbal medicine, homeopathy, physical therapies, and lifestyle modifications.
• Administer treatments such as acupuncture, hydrotherapy, nutritional supplementation, and botanical medicine, while educating patients on self-care strategies.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing support and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with other practitioners within our clinic, as well as conventional medical doctors and specialists, to ensure comprehensive, integrative care.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, holistic health principles, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term wellness.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient consultations, assessments, and treatments using the Jane EMR system.

Qualifications & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of naturopathic medicine principles, modalities, and therapies.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with other health-care professionals.
• Empathy and compassion to provide personalized and patient-centered care.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex medical conditions and develop effective treatment plans.
• Organizational skills to manage patient caseload, maintain records, and schedule appointments.
• Ability to stay updated on the latest research and developments in naturopathic medicine.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited naturopathic medical program.
• Successful completion of national board examinations and a valid license to practice as a Naturopathic Physician in Alberta.
• Continuing education to maintain licensure and stay updated on advancements in the field.
• Experience in clinical practice, preferably under the supervision of an experienced Naturopathic Physician.
• A strong commitment to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care.
• Compassionate and committed to providing superior care for patients.
• IV therapy certification considered an asset
