We are Academy of Enlightened Minds - Toronto’s only elementary school that focuses on children’s health and well-being. From the food they eat, to the water they drink, to the materials in the classroom, cleaning products, kitchen utensils to the communication from their educators, we take all aspects of a child’s health into consideration.

We are looking for a caterer to provide the important foundation of nutrition to our students; someone who not only understands the importance of food to overall health but who has the integrity to ensure our students receive the highest quality of nutrition for their cognitive and physical development. Chef should also ensure a good balance of both micro and macronutrient content in each meal and snack.

This food provision is for daily lunches and two daily snacks, Monday-Friday, for 25 children. We have an on-site kitchen but would prefer the food be delivered each day, as the kitchen is used as a classroom for our students.

We have the following nutritional requirements:

• exclusively organic ingredients and products
• organic chicken, pork and grass-fed bee
• organic fruits and vegetable
• free-range, organic eggs
• organic olive, coconut and avocado oil
• gluten-free flour, grains and bread products
• maple syrup, honey, dates as sweeteners only
• organic, unpasteurized dairy
• organic bone broth as base for any soups
• no processed oils (no sunflower, safflower, grade seed, or canola oils)
